Where do you live?
If you’re like me and 7 billion other people on earth, you are fortunate to live in this precious mobile vehicle we call the human body. It’s the most magical RV you will ever have the privilege of piloting.
You body is your home, your om, your source of pleasure and pain; your blank canvas, blood-pumping-booty-shaking-mojo-making sacred temple.
As a 17 year cancer survivor and long time yoga therapist there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not grateful to be alive. In my body. Breathing.
What gets me out of bed in the morning – what REALLY floats my paddleboard – is coaching other health, fitness, and wellness practitioners. I’ve been a career and business coach since 1999 and believe strongly that the professionals who support others in vibrant health deserve to thrive in their own lives as well.
There are many ills of modern society, from obesity to anxiety to chronic pain, and the shining lights amongst us who support, heal, refresh, strengthen, and soothe are doing incredible work. In short, they kick ass.
So I leave you with these thoughts:
- Do a little happy dance every time you wake up. YES!
- Give some extra love to your yoga teacher, personal trainer, nutritionist, chef, or acupuncturist! They work really hard. Show your appreciation.
- Finally, if your favorite health and wellness practitioner seems a little stressed out or frantic lately, please send them my way! I’m an expert in helping these folks get back on track so they can enjoy their lives and their businesses.

Laura, Awesome! I have made major changes for the better with Mark Sisson and his Primal lifestyle from April to June this year. I have lost almost 30 pounds, but more importantly, my body has shaped up, I’ve gained so much energy, and I’ve got a much better attitude! Bottom line, enjoy the good fats, the natural foods, leave behinds the grains, the sugar, and the insidious weight gain.
Thank God for Alex Beadon, and I look forward to more of your posts!
Cool Jonathan – congratulations on making so many positive changes! Very impressive. I’m also a huge fan of healthy fats 🙂
Laura – yay for healthy living. The foods that we eat are so important. We need people like you teaching and educating society on what is actually healthy and not just eating what we want because it’s there.
Right on Jamie! I agree with you on healthy eating 100%! I thought I was already pretty good about food, but recently started working with a nutritionist and can’t believe how much better I’m feeling. So I’ll give a shout out to my awesome nutritionist Jen Marshall of Be Balanced Healing.
